Historical Novel Society - London (UK) Chapter

Post by sweetpotatoboy » Tue May 17th, 2011, 9:09 pm

Just to let those in or near London know that the newly formed London Chapter of the HNS has been holding monthly meetups since early this year to which all are welcome.

We now also have our own Facebook page, which you can find at:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=ho ... 81103&ap=1
or just search for Historical Novel Society London in the Facebook search box.

If you're not on Facebook and would still like to be involved, drop me a private message.
Thanks.

Wow. I created the group on Monday evening and we're already at 71 members! I'm tickled pink.
I recognise a few names from here too.

I want to make a special trip to London to attend an event. Perfect excuse for me to hop the pond. Let's see how I go about it ;)

When is your meeting in July? I am planning on being there for a few days to get my daughter settled into her summer study program at Middlesex (welll, that is if she still goes...  - although even if she doesn't, I still have a round trip ticket to London that I sure wouldn't want to go to waste).

Hi there. That would be great. It's on 2 July, all being well, as we meet the first Saturday in the month (around 12.30pm to 3.30pm). If you were in town on that date, you would be very welcome!

That might just work out since I will definately be on that side of the pond on the 2nd (we leave here on June 29th). The only question is whether I will be in London or Paris - which all depends on my daughter... If I'm going to be in London I'll let you know!

Diane, there may well be a chapter near you. HNS members are trying to set up regional chapters in the States and elsewhere. If not, you could start one!
You could ask about it at the HNS Yahoo group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HistoricalNovelSociety/
or on their Facebook page.
