Since I was there last week, thought a few of you might enjoy this replica of the statue which you'll also find inside the New York, New York casino, made entirely of Jolly Ranchers. The picture isn't as clear as it should be. We were only there for a few minutes and it was horribly crowded that night. Younger daughter was disappointed that she's still not tall enough to ride the coaster there.

OMG! I used to love Jolly Ranchers. They are a hard, fruit flavoured candy.

I used to love Jolly Ranchers. Watermelon was my favorite flavor.

I suppose it would be unnecessarily cheesy to note that, this time, what happened in Vegas didn't stay there.

Then again, cheese is never actually *required* ... so ...

Yeah, Vegas is one of those places where you see something and just shake your heading thinking, only in Vegas. My husband has been working on a project out there and he's in that phase that doesn't allow him to come home very often, so we've been visiting. If you are the outdoorsy type, there are lots of cool places to go to within reasonable driving distance. My husband actually likes that aspect of it since he's been out there on this project for well over year now, with another year to go.

As for the Jolly Rancher statue, I don't know how long it has been on display but we first noticed it when we visited last summer. The rep there told us how many hours it took them to build, but I don't remember now.
