I accepted a job today in DC and so it looks like we are moving...again! I think there are at least a couple of people here that live in the area and so I'm looking for suggestions on places to live (or not to I live as the case may be). My job will near the pentagon and the most important thing is that I live someplace within walking distance of public transportation as we only have one car and it will be staying with my husband until he can come out.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

*Raises a hand* I'm one of them!
You're coming to an exciting area for starters! I like working in DC but couldn't live there.
I live in MD so can't speak to VA as much. I can tell you traffic in northern VA will only get worse because of an upcoming BRAC realignment. Tyson's Corner has an ongoing Metro station construction project.
The Pentagon is on the Yellow Line as a point of reference.
For housing, the Washington Post Real Estate section is a starting point.
