Good news for Welshmen living in Chester!

Post by Ken » Tue April 12th, 2011, 9:25 am

Good news today for Welshmen living in Chester! The UK Government is set on repealing lots of ancient and redundant legislation. One such law from medieval times to be scrapped is the right of an Englishman to shoot a Welshman found within Chester's city walls after midnight with a longbow! Phew! Well that's all right then!!

I don't know about that Ken - it might mean the start of that dreaded Welsh invasion!

Ken, you'd better be careful. If they aren't allowed to use longbows they might try slingshots.

And does this mean it's now ok for an Englishman to shoot a Welshman with a longbow in the city of Chester before midnight?

Wait, which one was supposed to have the longbow the Englishman or the Welshman? Was it shooting potential armed assailants? Or just bow-ing down Welshman in general? Don't you just hate vague laws? Good thing they're ditching it.

Wait, which one was supposed to have the longbow the Englishman or the Welshman? QUOTE]

The following link will give you an idea of what we are talking about! Happily it was unlawful to shoot a Welshman before midnight and, of course, never on a Sunday! The Longbow was Welsh but the English pinched the idea from us! ;)
