Hello from Gordon Doherty

Post by Gordopolis » Sat April 9th, 2011, 2:41 pm

Ave!

I'm a 33 year old Scottish writer and I'm delighted to have found this website!

I'm a big fan of Scarrow, Gemmell, Iggulden, Barone, Manfredi and many others. A mixture of the darkness of Gemmell's stuff and the camaraderie of Scarrow makes an ideal read in my opinion. I try to read widely, but love coming back to a gripping, gritty historical adventure :)

As such, I've written a novel 'Legionary' in this mould. it's available as a Kindle eBook on Amazon, and I'm looking at putting it out to all the eBook stores and on demand paperback. It's been a wonderful experience writing what I love to read (well, wonderful and stressful!), and along the way I've discovered lots of new authors.

Hope this is okay by the mods - here's the link to 'Legionary' on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Legionary/dp/B0 ... 032&sr=8-1

Cheers and look forward to chatting with you all soon!

Hi, Gordon, nice to have you here. I'm a fan of Gemmell and some of the others you mention as well. I loved Lion of Macedon. I look forward to checking out your book. Congratulations on getting it out there!
