We got a gift card forthis new Longhorn Steakhouse that just opened two months ago, my mother in law said it was the best steak and so forth. Ronnie and I ate there last night, he had steak and steamed veggies while I had the whole she-bang, lobster tail with a 6 oz steak with a baked potato. we only ate half of our meal so we could squeeze in one of their desserts. Chocolate Avalanche, a peice of triple choc. cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream both topped with melted fuge and choc shavings.
After last night I'm going to be working out for the next year just to recover from all that food.

Oh, it wasn't my recipe. Well, I had the idea on my own without having actually seen any recipes for it - and I probably would have made it by myself even if I hadn't found the recipes.
Here are the two recipes I found. I followed the second rather than the first, though not slavishly. I didn't use the first one because I didn't want it with milk and the second seemed more what I had in mind with the use of the spices. In fact, I used not only the nutmeg and ginger recommended in the recipe but also a little cinammon and ground cloves. I think with cranberries you can't avoid using a little sugar but I tried to use as little as possible and rely on the spices and lemon juice to sweeten it. (I also didn't bother separating the solids from the liquid for liquidising; I just stuck a hand blender into the pot. Oh, I also didn't bother grating the carrots; I just sliced them quickly. After all, it all gets liquidised at the end. And I stuck in one large parsnip as I had that to hand!)
