War is too horrible to imagine, though with story, we try.

My great, great grandfather fought in the Valley Campaign under Stonewall.

Welcome, Tim. Glad to have you here. I love the Civil War. I suppose my favorite ACW novel is "Andersonville" although, like you, I read mostly non-fiction. Stephen Sears' "Landscape Turned Red" (about Antietam) is easily my favorite. "Terrible Swift Sword" is beyond good.

I'll definitely be checking out your book on Kindle. Good luck!
