Doing the Happy Dance

... because To Defy A King has just won the UK's Best Historical Novel in the RNA's annual book awards. The judges were Richard Lee, founder of the Historical Novel Society, Elizabeth Hawkesly, author and writing tutor, and Diana Pearson, President of the RNA. This couldn't have come at a better time as I'm in the midst of contract negotiations in the UK and TDAK has just come out in the USA. I'll blog about it later. The venue - the Gladstone Library in Whitehall Place overlooking the Thames was absolutely stunning.
