"Blood-sweating" horses

Last year I coincidentally read several novels which featured these legendary horses, also known as "Heavenly Horses", and became intrigued by them. I recently came across this news item about a discovery in China which has reignited interest in the legend.

The bones of 80 horses unearthed from the mausoleum of a Chinese emperor who lived more than 2,000 years ago have rekindled an ancient legend about blood-sweating "heavenly" horses from central Asia.
