Signing THE SECOND DUCHESS at Murder by the Book in Houston

Post by Elizabeth » Fri March 4th, 2011, 2:34 pm

If there are any HFO members in Houston, I'd love to meet you! I'm going to be at Murder by the Book at 2342 Bissonnet Street at 1pm tomorrow, Saturday, March 5th, signing and discussing the mystery element in The Second Duchess.

It's still sinking in that this is all real and not just a huge cosmic joke. :)

Well, Elizabeth, I think you can say you have truly arrived...... your book has its first review on Amazon and it's by....... (drum roll, please) ........ HARRIET!! :D You might want to read it to see how badly she mangled your book. Then again, maybe you don't want to. :)

*snort*

You beat me to it. I'm dying to read it now and see how badly our fearless leader mangled it. She sure did mess up the new Helen Hollick one...

All kidding aside, congrats Elizabeth and best of luck with your book.

Just got home. Thanks for your good wishes... the signing was amazing. Murder by the Book is an incredible store and proves that independent bookstores can still thrive.

Naturally I had to run and read the review in question. I think she's mistaking Lucrezia de' Medici for Lucrezia Borgia (the "notorious" comment) but other than that it's not too mangled. I was holding my breath because of course as you say, Michy, one has not truly arrived until one has a Harriet review. :)
