Vanessa, no -- my neighbor had committed to do it, but then kept him out of the house all winter, which is why he's in bad shape now. I need to get him into a no-kill shelter/adoption agency, but they have all turned me down so far. Apparently they only rescue cats found by their own active volunteers.
Can you 'advertise' him in a vet's surgery - 'free to a good home' sort of thing?
I am not sure which technology god I offended but it was one of them!

Wow, you certainly must have done something truly evil to one of the techno-gods for all this to happen at once!!! Good luck... I would put send up a prayer to the tech gods but I'm not really in their good books either. I curse them too much...

Brando is doing better, chirping, purring and mewing at me. This morning he got up and walked over to greet me when I opened the bathroom door. Then he tried to get out! So I think the antibiotics are working. I'm going to have to try to get him into my vet's adoption program. Maybe there is a way to foster him until I can get a new home, but I have to keep him completely separate from my four, which is hard. I just don't have the $$ to do this right now. Gah...

Isn't the Humane Society no-kill? I'm fairly certain they are no kill here in Washington.
At home with a good book and the cat...

No space.

"It sounds as if you've taken him in, anyway, and we only accept real strays."

So, I'm supposed to let him die on the doorstep in order to make him eligible for a shelter place? splutter, splutter, splutter.

Once a month my boss and I meet to put our heads together to figure out how to improve my performance as a collection agent (I hate what I do for a living just to let you know, and I have a heart so sometimes I let things slip). We did not get to finish due to lack of time today but she actually told me if I could not do my job accordingly to her idea of how I should do it I needed to rethink my career path. WTF!! I bring in close to 500K a month for them and I'm not doing good enough?!?

thanks to her I'm starting to rethink my career path though, to anything but what I'm doing!

Nona, you deserve better than to be treated that way. No one should have to put up with that.

As soon as some bills are paid off I'm going to be searching for a new job regardless of the economy, I'ld be happier making less money and working almost anywhere.
