Worst thing today:

I just got hate e-mail for the first time in my life. Someone with a right-wing blog wrote to me regarding my blog post about Sarah Palin's attack on wolves and basically chewed me out, saying Ashley Judd was an embarassment to Kentucky, I'm an idiot, and . . . well, it was nasty.

Ick.

I agree with SM the bushfires in Victoria. 108 dead confirmed (with many missing). Also the fires in the other states of Australia and the flooding in Queensland.

So sorry, Alaric!

I seem to be sick again, but it's not too bad. Certainly nothing to what our dear Australian members are going through. You're all in my prayers.

Really! You're right: I must consider the source, and as others mentioned, given the tragedy of the fires, it's just a stupid e-mail. Still, it gave me the creeps. He was very vituperative toward Ashley Judd, almost as though I were a mere conduit to her. I don't know her but I admire her guts; this guy sounded a bit stalker-ish.

The joy of having a publicly available author e-mail :p

I'd be creeped out too! People who don't have logic, facts, and in this case, science, on their side have to resort to some pretty nasty stuff to prove their points. I'm just glad this issue is getting so much attention. It'll make it more difficult for Palin to continue the slaughter with all this attention on her. Isn't transparency great? I've missed it! :D

Gosh C.W., I'd be creeped out too ! But as you say a right-wing person and obviously someone who is very prejudiced and therefore can't think straight !
