I will keep an eye out for them Pat. The antibiotics seem to be doing their job, as my throat is sore, but nowhere near as sore as it was.

The big decision is whether to go to work tomorrow. I have a certificate for another day off, but maybe I should go in regardless. Decisions, decisions.

I'd take tomorrow and Friday off so then you've got the whole weekend to be better. Working when you're sick is horrible, most of them you just end up making it worse anyway.

Maybe! And if one of my staff members came in when they have a certificate, then I would be saying 'and what are you doing here!'

Oh good. Here the doctors are very reluctant to prescribe antibiotics for a sore throat unless it has hung around for ages. But if you get them, they do the trick pretty quickly.
My favourite linctus, by the way, is something called Pholcodine. I swear by the stuff.

They won't for sore throats associated with viruses but they did in this case because it is tonsilitis.

I was obviously feeling okay when I posted about the possibility of going to work today, but by about 8.30 last night there was no question :(

The possibility that my little weekend trip with my husband to San Antonio (where I had to go for a work meeting) might be called off due to hurricane Ike. We're still trying to decide...

We were one man down at work today, and in the rush with only the two of us there I wasn't watching what I was doing and bashed my dud knee on something. It's quite swollen at the moment.

The manager in me had an automatic reaction which was "Did you fill out a Workplace incident report?"

Hope it goes down for you.
