The weather, it sucks. We got snow dumped on us, and then it froze and apparently branches have been knocking out power lines cause we were out of power from about 3 to 8 something, and it's freezing. We had sandwiches for dinner, but we're going to have soup now that the power is back on cause it might go out and it might be the last hot thing we eat for awhile, who knows. And cause the streets are bad, Access won't come get us and we're running out of food that doesn't need to be cooked, pain meds, my migraine meds and dog food, ARGH! As if I'm not having a bad time as it is with having to leave our home, now this shit.

I hope Misfit is ok.

Being sorta worried about the ill relative of my um... person I kinda know. I don't know what is going on, and I'm not even sure I should ask.

I've been worried about you Sonja. Glad you are sort of ok so far. I hope the situation improves quickly so that the power stays on and roads are passable.

Nefret, that's a difficult situation, not knowing whether your concern would be welcome or not. Hugs to you.

Thanks. We don't really talk anymore, but I'm still concerned for their sake.

Ok, yesterday now seems trivial. I got a call from the school because my youngest son was having trouble breathing at recess, was grabbing his chest saying "ow, help" and his eyes were crossing. They got him inside and calmed down. I set up an appointment with a doctor. He's doing fine but the appointment had to be cancelled because my husband got rear-ended on the way home. Thankfully he is ok. The weather was probably a big factor.

So much for 2012 being a better year.

I hear that! Sigh :(

I'm sorry you're having a hard time, and thank you for worrying about me. The electricity was fluctuating through out the night and morning but seems ok for now. And hopefully we'll be able to go uptown tomorrow, I hope Access doesn't cancel our rides!

I just saw this and was ready to send out the search dogs to see how you were :D

News didn't report much on Vashon, but I assumed you might have power issues like most everyone else. I managed OK, hit the grocery store on Tuesday and then just hunkered down, driving was about the dumbest thing to do. Lines here are all underground so no power loss, but there's been a lot of flickering going on.

Snow is almost gone, but the rain is starting and there's a high wind warning. Joy.

Overnight light snowfall and all that comes with it in the metro DC area. Had the fun of driving through it to work this morning!

I have a feeling, because of the constant change in the weather, that I'm getting a sinus infection. Head feels like it got run over by a mac truck. And it's raining. Blah!

Oh and it's Monday. Double blah!

Learned that the ill relative passed away. Never met them, but I still feel sad.
