Last night one of my teeth cracked, and it hurts when food goes in the hole. I have an apt very early tomorrow, and since I can't afford a root canal, and insurance doesn't cover the dentist anyway, I'll just have it filled or removed, it'll still cost me a few hundred, though, sigh :(

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Sorry about your tooth, SM. Hoping it doesn't need a root canal. But dental issues are one of the things that make me really appreciate NOT living in the 16th century. (Or in the many places in this century where people go their whole lives without access to a dentist.)

Thanks again ladies! I had an awful night. I have insomnia and trying to go to bed early is nearly impossible for me and it didn't help that I was over heated, couldn't get comfortable, my legs started having painful tingling, and my tooth started to hurt. I don't think I've had even 3 hours of sleep tonight. My van pickup is at 6:30 to 7, so I said "forget this" and just got up a bit after 5am. At least I can come home and crash.
