No, I went straight from the check to where mom was waiting with the cart, I just can't remember if it was with me or I left it at the check out and no one turned any in. Sigh!

My last wisdom tooth broke in the middle of the night. I was half asleep and I felt some stuff in my mouth and it was bits of tooth. And of course the dentist I go to on the island isn't open on Weds and I have a doctor's apt Tues.

It wouldn't bother me so much, it's not hurting (knock on wood), but there a couple of sharp edges at the moment :P

ARGH!

I've had an ongoing migraine through out the day, even my usual meds and an ice pack aren't breaking it :P

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favorite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

This evening I bailed on my guild at a ren faire. Forgot my cushy therma-rest so woke up with a backache; actor's camp is noisy and the porta-potties stinky. I longed for my quiet llamas and 3,000 acres of pristine wilderness!

It was 98F with humidity at 65%, and I was melting in the double-layer outfit that is the very least a lower household member can get away with wearing. The guy playing Henry VIII (not my guild, this time; they did court last year and it was 108F, and flatly refused to repeat the experience unless the date was moved) was in four layers and FUR, they were shoving blue ice down his shirt to keep him functioning. And tomorrow is predicted to be 102.

So I drove home to sleep in my own bed, leaving poor Jay to hold up our end of the gig. I figured I wouldn't be much use collapsed of heatstroke in the guild yard anyway.

Poor you Sonja - do you think the migraine might be connected somehow to the broken tooth? Hope you feel better soon.

This is exactly why I'm not likely to ever go to Pennsic. August with no air conditioning. Yikes!

LH: it finally broke, thanks!

Madeline: oh the tooth doesn't bother me, I've had migraines ever since I was a little kid, it's part and parcel of a genetic syndrome I inherited from my mother.

Thanks for thinking about me! :)
