Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Interest in HF: The first historical novel I read was Katherine by Anya Seton and this sparked off my interest in this genre.
Favourite HF book: Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell!
Preferred HF: Any

Thanks all! It's rough, the cancer is eating through his brain and he's losing memories, he might not even remember his family by the end, sigh. I just hope he won't be in any pain that would just be hard to deal with.

My thoughts and prayer are with you and your family SM.

my pending lay off is going to be between Feb 10 and Feb 17 as I was told from an inside source. They've randomly laid off over 12 people this last week or two. I worried but looking forward to a chance to change my life. I might be reading as much as I have since I'll go back to school full time > but thats a good thing.
