Some of you might find this amusing (from the comic strip The New Adventures of Queen Victoria):

Way back in the 1950s, humorist Roger Price who created Droodles, wrote a book titled What Not to Name the Baby.

Name a boy Vincent, he will be called Vinny or Vince and end up in a pool hall.

Howard will marry Nancy, and they will move to the suburbs where their lives will be dull and they will have affairs.

Name a boy William and call him that, he will be a stuffy type. Call him Bill, and he will be a regular guy. Call him Billy, and he will be immature all his life

This is in the context of the 1950s" Name him Kurt, he will drive a spiffy convertible, wear a car coat, and pretend he is Swiss although in reality he is German.

You get the picture.

Bodo the Apostate, a novel set during the reign of Louis the Pious and end of the Carolingian Empire.

Got a small smile from me. But I'm just happy I can read again so that may not be a measurement of amusement.
