Finished Helen Hollick's Arthur trilogy The Kingmaking, Pendragon's Banner, and Shadow of the King/. I thought they were all brilliantly done!

Edit: I finished Bernard Cornwell's 5th Saxon Book: The Burning Land. However, I didn't go back to the Hollick trilogy yet as Carol Goodman's book The Night Villa called to me. Finished that this afternoon on my lunch hour! Loved both books!!

Finished Sins of the House of Borgia. It was ok but I found myself racing to finish it just so it would be done. I wasn't a big fan of the main character until the end because they spent the entire book whining. Plus, you don't really learn about the Borgia family until the last 20 pages. ( I am at 43 books so far this year)

#45 The Devlin Diary which wasn't as good as The Rossetti Letter, but still nicely done.

#46 Elizabeth Chadwick's The Wild Hunt which I really enjoyed

#47 Rosemary Sutcliff's The Eagle which I was disappointed in. I really only enjoyed the last 100 pages which I was surprised by because I know several people on this forum really enjoy her books. I will say that I read this on my Kindle and I do have a hard time getting "in to" books I read on that device. I don't know why.

#48 The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I put her in the same category as Kate Morton in that after I finished the book, I wanted to keep staring at it. Thinking about it. Fabulous book!!

#49 EC's The Running Vixen. I liked this book; not as much as The Wild Hunt, but good nonetheless.

# 50 EC's The Leopard Unleashed

#53 Queen by Right by Anne Easter Smith. Good book, but more on the entertaining side than fact

#54 A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin- I got really frustrated with this book halfway through and was glad that I had Queen by Right to distract me. But again, the last 200-400 pages had me staying up very late into the night. There are so many twists and turns, you just can't believe the book is turning out the way it is!

# 55 SKP's When Christ and His Saints Slept. Great read but I'd rather skim over the middle 200 pages or so just because I want to knock Stephen and Maude's heads together!

#56 EC's Lady of the English

Shadows is one of my favorites, I think I've read it three times.
At home with a good book and the cat...

I think I have to add it to one of my favorites for sure. Interested to see how the second one will work out. But have to finish Eldest by Christopher Paolini and Time and Chance first...
