18) Queen by Right by Anne Easter Smith; finished 7/30/11, just in time for the August book of the month discussion; I think I read too many books from this time period, moving to something different for my next read.

Have been on vacation in Europe for the past two weeks, so I don't know if the dates for this and the next two posts are exactly correct!

19) The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley, finished 8/8/11; very much liked the juxtaposition of the time periods.

20) The Wordsmith's Tale by Stephen Edden; finished 8/15/11; fascinating, loved the voice and the style of the novel

21) My Name is Mary Sutter by Robin Oliveira, finished 8/18/11; interesting point of view of the American Civil War; made me want to read The Emancipator's Wife about Mary Todd Lincoln but I couldn't download it to my Kindle while in Europe.

22) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson; finished 8/30/11; started this on the plane home from Stockholm; had decided to wait until my Stockholm visit so I could better visualize the setting; I was on the Götgatan, the street where Millennium has its offices; super book...shelved my plans yesterday and today to do school work until I finished!

I found the entire trilogy to be very intense; the break waiting for the third book to be released was agony for me.

My plan is to read A Game of Thrones and then read The Girl Who Played With Fire and then alternate through the two series. I'll have to alternate with books other than the Millennium ones eventually.

23) A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin; finished 9/28/11; took a while to get through because of the transition from summer back to teaching.

24) The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson; finished 10/2/11; going to read the last book in the trilogy next as my husband was right about the cliffhanger.

25) The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson; finished 10/9/11; Since I had been in Stockholm just this past August, I could really picture many of the settings. Two of the characters even stayed at the same hotel I stayed at!
