Went into our new bookstore and picked up my copy of The Cake Mix Doctor Bakes Gluten Free. I'm planning to have a lot of fun with this one.

I'm not allergic to gluten per se, but have to avoid wheat, so gluten-free cookbooks are a great help to me. My favorite is Bette Hagman's The Gluten-Free Gourmet. I've developed a bunch of recipes that I adapted from recipes in that book. There are some great rice-flour breads!
Browse over 5000 historical novel listings (probably well over 5000 by now, but I haven't re-counted lately) and over 700 reviews at www.HistoricalNovels.info

Light on Lucrezia and Madonna of the Seven Hills reissues by Plaidy.
I had to order these through B&N because they haven't been available in any bookstore around here.

Elizabeth I: A Novel by Margaret George
I Am the Chosen King by Helen Hollick
Sins of the House of Borgia by Sarah Bower

I may also get The Second Duchess by Elizabth Loupas

That sounds interesting. Be sure and let us know what you think of it, LoobyG.

Stopped in at the grand opening of the new bookstore and got a Pinkalicious book for my daughter. The owners are so nice. They let her take one of their balloons. :)

Today was the big charity used book sale that a friend runs. I snagged the following:

The Origin by Irving Stone
Sea Glass by Anita Shreve
The Divine Comedy by Dante
An Experiment in Love by Hilary Mantel
You Got to Dance with Them what Brung You by Molly Ivins
Please Understand Me II by David Keirsey
Aphrodite by Isabel Allende
Ahab's Wife by Sena Jeter Naslund.

Oh, my groaning TBR shelf!

Will do, Michy mentioned it on the Gone with the Wind thread a short while ago I think, and it appealed to me! Also have pre-ordered Michelle Moran's 'Madame Tussaud' from Amazon and really looking forward to getting my grubby little paws on it :D
