Reread A Free Man of Color, historical mystery, by Barbara Hambly. Forgotten how much I liked it when I first read it. I think I'm going to reread the series.

Sorry, I haven't been posting lately. I've been reading a bunch of YA fiction, mostly historical fiction. Here are some of the books I've read lately.

Sphinx's Princess and Sphinx's Queen by Esther Friesner--a two-part look at the girlhood of Nefertiti. A little slow moving, but worth the effort.

Uprising by Margaret Peterson Haddix. A very interesting look at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire (March 25, 1911) from the perspective of three teenaged girls. I thought it was very well written.
