howdy,

My name is Geo but you can call me Beau. My grandma did when i was little. :rolleyes:

Anyways, I love historical fiction and grew up loving and reading Norah Lofts and Jean Plaidy among others. Some of my favorites are Pillars Of The Earth by Ken Follett, the Kings Pleasure and Knights Acre trilogy plus The Town house trilogy by Norah Lofts.

I read The Great Maria by Cecilia Holland in 1987 and that was it. i have read just about everything there is historical and thought I would register here to get my 2 cents in and see what others think about their favorites and also see what is new in Historical fiction. :)

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
