Happy Thanksgiving to all in the USA.
What are you giving thanks for this year?
Topping my list is managing to stay afloat in this tough economy!

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
Location: California Bay Area

Happy thanksgiving from me!
I guess for this year, my greatest thanks is that the dh is still employed. All of last year we were on tenterhooks because his company, Sun Microsystems, was being purchased by Oracle and we knew they would be laying off half of the Sun employees. The process was complete early this year, and J is one of the guys they kept.

He feels badly for many of his friends and co-workers, who are still looking for jobs. Not a good economy for software engineers.

Thanks, Wendy! I'm so thankful that my Aspie daughter is doing well in college and making friends. It's been a bit bumpy and I still get late night phone calls, but they are fewer. I can see an independent, capable adult at the end of the tunnel!

I'm thankful for my home (despite it's issues), and my family (despite our issues), and for good friends who make me smile.

I'm thankful for a loving husband and family, good friends, good health, a roof over our heads, a job that I absolutely love despite my complaints, the ability to see and hear all of the beauty this world has to offer.

Also thankful for forums like this one, which has introduced me to some amazing people, and wonderful reads.

A tday treat to enjoy: (btw she is a wonderful artist, and sells this card as well as others. Check out her website for more information)

Happy Thanksgiving! :D
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful first and foremost for the health of my loved ones. I'm also very thankful for the animals in my life, including my beautiful dog, Paris, and my garden ferals, who make life so much fun. And for my friends, who always rally around me.

Most of all, I'm thankful for my gorgeous and wonderful partner.

I'm thankful for mom and Harm and Jasper. That we currently have electricity and warmth. A warm puppy on a cold night who would've stayed with me all night if the power hadn't come back on.

I'm thankful for this forum!
