I picked up two books by Susan Carroll at my local used bookstore and I was curious if anyone on here as read anything by her and if so, what did you think? They have been sitting on my shelf for a while and I keep coming back to them. Thanks!

I've read her bridefinder trilogy. Lighter reads, but they were a lot of fun. There's a stand alone medieval I tried once that flew about page 100.

It wasn't the Dark Queen or the Silver Rose perchance? I have both of those...

No, I do want to read those. I think the title I tossed was Wintercombe. Unfortunately I've been spoiled by all things medieval by EC and Sharon and sometimes the fluff books don't work for me.

Same here. I thought I would give it a shot though. Thanks for the insight though-good to be prepared before I start reading! No high expectations that way.

I've read these (as well as the rest of the series) and enjoyed them very much, although I thought the last book (Twilight of a Queen) was a little bit disappointing plot wise. Actually it was The Dark Queen (as well as Gregory's TOBG) that got me started on historical fiction.
