Bissell Spotbot Pet stain Cleaner

Post by Misfit » Wed November 3rd, 2010, 5:17 pm

I was very very lucky to get a chance at this via Amazon Vine and I am one happy customer. I know we've got other pet owners here (and I assume stains as well) so I thought I'd share. This is easy as pie, just fill the tank with water and cleaning solution, press a button and it does it all for you and beeps to let you know it's done. Just finished zapping several older stains, both food and kitty barf and they're all gone.

There's also a wand for doing stairs, upholstery and your car.

I could use that now! Boswell's brother of the nervous bladder is our houseguest for the week.

Good to know! As the owner of two kittens with occasional hairball and litterbox issues...

We already own a steam cleaner. Is this any better, or just more portable?

Thankfully Jasper doesn't pee or otherwise in the house all that often to require one of these.

Fortunately I don't have litterbox issues but Misfit can sure barf up a storm on occasion.

Can't answer on the steam cleaner as I've never owned one (have a large clunky older Bissell shampooer). This is very portable, probably 10 lbs in weight. Can't find my ruler but I'd guess 18" high. The round brush cleans a field of about 6" in diameter.

Handy for those smaller spots when you don't want to drag out and get started with the large machine. It's just so nice to push the button and walk away and it sprays, scrubs and vacuums up the excess water all by itself.

Thanks for the info. It is a real nuisance to get the steam cleaner out all the time (and we use it every couple weeks). The sticking point with this may be the price. It costs as much as the cleaner did.

I'm with you there, which is why I was thrilled to bits to see it on my Vine newsletter ;)

I have a Spotbot and LOVE it - but then I have two hair-ball chucking cats too! Works great for all manner of kitty and red wine stains, especially when used immediately.
Didn't do such a good job on a rust spot we discovered when we moved some furniture though, probably because the stain had been there a while (and in all fairness I'm not sure anything would have worked any better at that point).
Enjoy your new gadget :)
