Hello Everyone,
My name is Teresa and I have just joined this website. I've been reading historical fiction since I was 11. A relative gave me some Jean Plaidy books and since then I've been hooked.
My favourite historical time periods are the Tudor Era, Georgian Era, Ancient Rome and now WW2. I'm currently reading Paullina Simons 'The Road to Holy Cross' (Ahh Alexander). I just finished the Guernsey Literary Potato...etc

Hi Teresa, and welcome to the best HF site on the web!
You'll find plenty to add to your TBR pile here - and a few Ancient Rome authors too - there's me (
), Jules Watson (who writes about Scotland at the time of the Romans), Michelle Moran (who writes about Egypt/Rome), Faith Justice (who has written about the Alexandrian Library). I hope that I haven't forgotten anyone in the Roman sphere.
Where in Oz are you from/do you live? I spent 6 months working there in 2000, in Sydney, but I then travelled to Qld., NT, Vic. and Tas. I've been back twice, the last time to WA for 2 weeks. A great great country, which only escaped having me living in it by a whisker!

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
