Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Welcome, aceuggey! I'm sure you'll have a great time here. As to where to start, do you have a dart board?
Just stumbled upon your forum today and it's rather taken my breath away! I had no idea there were so many books and authors that I not only haven't read, but didn't know existed. This place is clearly a wealth of information and I look forward to dipping in often. My only real experience of HF is Bernard Cornwell and his Sharpe and Alfred the Great books. I obviously have a great deal of catching up to do.
Welcome to the Forum. Glad to see the West Country is getting a serious presence on here. Myself - I am from Bristol and ParthianBow (Ben Kane) lives just outside Bristol.
