Cool! What a score! If you're planning on reselling them I'll buy The Earl by Cecelia Holland and The King's Grey Mare by Rosemary Hawley Jarman if they're still available from you!

How I love them! How I need them!
I'll have a long beard by the time I read them. --Arnold Lobel

Yeah I was hoping it wouldn't get that far, but I was surprised how "little" it went for!

No problem! I knew what it was about! I've been wanting to purchase it for a while now. I think it was Boswellbaxter that recommended it to me. For some reason or other I just don't have it yet.

Oh good! I hate it when I make mistakes and it only dawned on me after I posted that and you had already replied.

I may be a week or more before I get the books, then I have to do the laborious job of writing the auction pages for each one, which includes making notes on any problems the book(s) have, which in some cases can be a huge amount! I'm all for full disclosure of problems so no one can come back and say, "you didn't say there was a big rip on page so and so" or "underlining on page so and so".

More Books I Won On Ebay

Post by SonjaMarie » Mon September 15th, 2008, 9:46 pm

I just won another auction, 3 books from Canada, I was the only bidder and the shipping will put me around $20 but one of them was a very rare book about Katherine Howard by Jean Evans, I believe called "Tudor Tragedy", I've never seen copies of this for sale or can find any online...
Image

"The Tudor Tragedy" by Jean Evans - published in 1972 by Robert Hale & Co, London

"The Young Elizabeth" by Jennett & Francis Letton - published by Harper Bros ©1953

"Scotland's Queen: Mary Stuart" by Marguerite Vance - stated first edition published 1962 by E P Dutton

I'm still waiting for my 48 books I won so I don't know if these will get here in time for the auctions or will have to be added another time.
