I finished Alexandria and really enjoyed it; it was a bit padded, I thought, but the history was informative and interesting and I adore Falco as I always do. His relationship with Helena is fabulous and their banter definitely sets the tone of the books for me. I also really like the way their children's actions are described; obviously she knows kids. ;)

Looking forward to Nemesis.

Falco is pretty much my main man in the historical mystery category. I can't help myself; I adore him, on a number of levels. I love that wittiness, and the grit. For me, at least, he is one of the better male figures in historical mysteries.

I was not wild about Alexandria, but the new one Nemesis, I think is quite good. For longstanding Falco fans, it has some surprises, and they literally made me blink!

Also, the Falco Companion is a lot of fun, too!

I understand that Lindsey is the recipient of the Cartier life achievement award this year. I'm very glad for her.
"Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me. " (Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey)

Just finished Alexandria (which I thought was a hoot) and posted a book review and giveaway on my blog. The giveaway is for the US only (sorry!) and open through midnight EDT June 14.
