- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Hi everyone.
Thank you for the warm welcome (yes, Cat, I seem to recognize you
) and I'm sure I'll find some time and some threads to enjoy here.
I have read Rosemary Sutcliff. She is wonderful. Another version of Arthur with no magic that includes the triangle - and nice to see other authors on here with their own books! I will check you guys out.
Hi Ashley, glad to have you here. I loved Helen's trilogy, nice to have one without the magic, isn't it? Mary Stewart wrote a trilogy on Arthur, and there's also Nancy MacKenzie's books as well. Haven't read the Cornwell ones yet.
I have the Nancy Mackenzie ones - I need to read them! Thanks for reminding me.
