The Marianne Series by Juliette Benzoni

I've just finished book two and it appears a few other members may be getting to these soon so I'll start the thread and wait for others to jump in. Probably better classified as romance (although the sex is very tame), so far I'm having a lot of fun following our heroine and her escapes and love affair with Napoleon. My review for book one here and book two here.

Is the sex "tame"? Just goes to show how young I was when I read them as it didn't appear that way to me at the time.

You almost encourage me to go back and read them again but as I know what happens in the last book, it probably wouldn't work for me. You will understand what I mean when you get there.

She sleeps with Boney a lot in the first book, but compared to what I've read in the 70's & 80's bodice rippers and what I've seen in some of today's HF (let alone romance) it was very tame indeed.
