I have literally just finished 'Yankee Stranger' and adored it. Normally too many battle scenes put me off, but in a way I felt the majority of them were neccessary to understanding the War and in relation to the characters and their whereabouts. If that makes sense :p One thing I would have liked is a map so I track the locations of the battles and of the distance between Williamsburg and Washington for example, my American geography leaves a lot to be desired. Next time I think I'll print one off. I've ordered 'Dawn's Early Light' from the US and await it eagerly! Traveldog I've got quite a few of the 'Jalna' novels on Mount TBR that my mum keeps buying for me, she was a big fan of them when she was younger and keeps saying how much I'll like them, but as yet I haven't picked them up :)
