"Oh my luscious darling" he purred huskily, "your brazen eagerness is something I've dreamed of for so long...but I did promise Trigger he was first."

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

He eyed the rearing horse nervously. "Forget riding off into the sunset," he said, "We're calling a cab."

Drat, thought Demon, rolling his eyes, why did I have to enter that dressage competition with two humans?

We haven't had any new captions in a couple of days, so I'm thinking I'll give it a few more hours and then set up the poll.

Do you all agree?

Just as their passion was about to peak, the stallion reared between them; you're glue the frustrated stud Elmer fumed silently even as the equally dismayed Genevieve vowed to herself "le diner".

One last salvo from me:

Hans valued Jenna's many qualities, but he was most grateful for the fact that she was double-jointed.
