How many books are in your TBR pile?

Post by Misfit » Sat September 6th, 2008, 12:43 pm

OK, let's get this one going again over here. Counting only the pile and not the mental to read list or the Amazon wish list but how many are actually in that pile. Me, about 30 but I recall there are a few members who will shame with with their TBR count. :D :D

At the moment I have twenty-nine un-read books on my bookshelf. Soon to be thirty when Lords of the Bow arrives.

I enjoy buying books and don't mind paying retail prices. I'm still in the stage of my life when I don't pay bills or rent, so most of my income from my job goes on books and DVDs. Quite often I'll go into Borders or Dymocks, find something I like and buy it, but not end up reading it until a year later. :o If I actually wasn't trying to curb my spending I would have a lot more than that I think.

Last time I actually counted each book but this time lets just say it's somewhere around 250+! :o

Interest in HF: I love history, but it's boring in school. Historical fiction brings it alive for me.

I've never counted the TBR's that are unpurchased, but they are a fair number. The ones I have purchased, but not read number around a half-dozen.

The sad thing, depending on how you look at it, lol, is that my number is actually the books I have physically on my shelves in my home! Sigh! I got a bit carried away!!

I really don't have that many. I continually weed out until I have only the gems remaining. So I have 55 on my TBR list.
