Just noticed that there's a remake of the Lone Ranger in the works!
Johnny Depp is apparently confirmed as Tonto, but the Lone Ranger himself seems to be a mystery at this stage.

I remember reading about that last year. At that point George Clooney was the rumored Lone Ranger. Interesting to see that Johnny Depp really will be Tonto, as that was the other half of the rumor.

I really like Johnny Depp....But Tonto?????....Can't imagine Johnny not putting a creative spin on Tonto's character......Although I have to admit I don't like the Lone Ranger's uniform and his two gun holster gun belt.....I wonder how Hollywood is going to present the story?

I'm thinking maybe The Lone Ranger will be socially inept and Tonto will be a real ladies' man.

I can't believe Depp and Clooney will play it straight...Anyway Depp should get equal billing... ie...Tonto and the Lone Ranger.....I keep thinking of Steve Martin's production of "The Three Amigos".....

I keep thinking of the Bill Cosby bit: LR keeps telling Tonto to go to town and he always gets beat up. Cosby as a kid kept wanting tonto to reply 'you go to hell kimosave'
