City of Light, by Lauren Belfer...
I've heard a lot of good things about that one and plan on reading it one of these days.
Is Wolf Brother one of Paver's YA/juvenile titles, or an adult book I haven't read? (I really enjoyed her other books...)
Late answering this, but Wolf Brother is one of Paver's YA/juvenile titles.

Harry Potter bk. 2 I promised the girls I would start reading the series to them.
for Potter fans out there there are two internet books called James Potter and the Hall of Elder Crossing.....forgot the second one but their sequels to the HP books writen by a fan(called fan-fiction I guess?). They supposedly are very realistic to Hogwarts and the characters, James Potter is Harry's son. The website is really neak, great art work. Haven't read the story so can't say if it is any good however it has great reviews at GR.

As we're still just in 2009, here are some more purchases which have slipped into my virtual "basket". On a Sara Donati binge at the moment, and today ordered:
Fire Along the Sky from waterstones.com
Lake in the Clouds and Dawn on a Distant Shore from Book Depository.

Just arrived -- I hadn't realized that Sarah Dunant had also written a (contemporary) mystery series. One was an Amazon bargain book, for under $5, which leaped into my own basket alongside the Thomas Hardy bio.
Bos, do tell me how the Uglow book seems. I love her writing (Lunar Men was fab) but am not a massive Charles II fan (although the period interests me a lot.)
I've downloaded a sample of the Christine Trent title; will see how it looks and decide to buy on Kindle (which means I will keep it) or if it's just so-so, I'll buy a physical copy and the send it into the world via PBS...
I'm hoping the Master of Bruges arrives soon. A friend ordered it for me -- but it's BD, so who knows? I did notice that they have become a lot more conservative about posting not-yet-released titles on their site.
