If I remember I was a peasant, so a bishop wouldn't be bad.

Jane Seymour

Postby Suzanne Crowley » Tue April 14th, 2009, 1:50 am

Is it just me or is the actress who is playing Jane Seymour this season different than the actress that played her last season?

She is, different actress. Last season she was played by Anita Briem, this season Annabelle Wallis, not sure why they changed the actress.

I read somewhere that the actress from last season didn't want to do nude scenes.

I noticed that the Jane in season 3 was different as well. I didn't realize that the reason may be due to the nudity, but I can understand that.

Although some of the history isn't exactly bang on, I do enjoy this series!

Looking forward to the next episode of Season 3,
Andrea

It looks like from the previews of next week's episode they are going to have Jane have a caesaeian which I don't believe was ever true. She died of perpurel fever. Oh well. I still LOVE watching the series.

There are some great posts on The Raucous Royals blog about what is fact and what is fiction in the various episodes (don't read the posts if you haven't seen the episode yet).

Joss Stone has agreed to return as Anne of Cleves in the final season of the series.

I thought Joss Stone did a great job. Apparently, Anne was not necessarily ugly - it was a case of no sexual chemistry. I do think it is intriguing though, the longer nose that was revealed in an x-ray in one of her portraits.
