Good to hear such glad tidings. Pizza and Coke/Pepsi sounds like a good diet to me. Certianly one I could stick to. ;)

Finally found something to wear to my friend's wedding. :D

That is an accomplishment worth celebrating, Nefret. Wedding attire can be tricky.

It was, but I think it will look fine. Good colour for me.

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Nefret, next time you need a great dress in the Bay Area, try Fairy Godmother Gown Rentals. (Shameless plug for my daughter's business. ;) )

Looks nice, too far for me though.

This was the best thing yesterday, but I've been too busy to post: attended the second quarterly meeting of the Northern California chapter of the Historical Novel Society. The luch was great, the conversation stimulating, and I was one of those chosen to read the opening of my WIP -- and despite being a very picky and critical group, overall they loved it!

I value criticism, but hey, hooking the reader is even better.
