Bonjour - from Chicago!

Postby tsjmom » Thu August 28th, 2008, 3:13 pm

So glad this is back up. I really miss all the terrific info, but hopefully it can be found soon.

Still the same username. I'm a HUGE Francophile, so anything to do with French history, especially 1550s - 1799, is my first choice. My second area of interest is WW2 fiction set in England and the Continent.

All three of my children are in school full time this year, so my goal is to read a book a week :)

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favorite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Hi, tsjmom! Glad you're back. My youngest just had his first morning of preschool today, so I'll be officially childless for 9 hours a week! It will be a whole new experience, writing when I'm fully conscious. ;)

Enjoy your reading time!

I am a Francophile too, but I have an excuse: I am French! Check out my blog, Versailles and more. A bunch of French stuff there...
