Preferred HF: I like a series the best - more to look forward to after one book ends. Masters of Rome, The Century Trilogy, & the Outlander series are some of my favorites.

The audio course The History of Ancient Rome from The Teaching Company - listened to this 24 cd course for the second time, & enjoyed it again just as much. Professor Garrett Fagan from Penn State was the lecturer & was super. What a grasp of over 1,000 years of history. Highly recommend this & other courses from The Teaching Company (again :) )
