Stump the Sussex Spaniel Succeeds!

The winner of the Westminster Kennel Club show was a 10-year spaniel who was a last-minute entry:

Though Boswell, as ever, was seriously disgruntled by the fact that the cairn terrier didn't make it to the final round.

Interest in HF: I love history, but it's boring in school. Historical fiction brings it alive for me.

I was going for the black American Cocker spaniel - but way to go Stump! Spaniels rule.

I adore spaniels, of nearly any sort. Stump (what a great name!) is certainly a charmer. My heart, I fear, will always be filled up with Cavalier King Charles. At least it wasn't another poodle or pekingese winning this time.

My heart sank when I saw that big poodle come out-I thought for sure he would be the winner. Not that I have anything against the breed, I just like to see some of the other dogs have their day.

You almost never see a Norwegian Elkhound up for Best of Show.

Congratulations to Stump. He looks sweet.
