Welcome to HFO, Jules. I have your White Mare very high on my TBR bookcase and really looking forward to starting the trilogy. It came highly recommended here on the forum.

I share your Celtic fascination, not only the history, but also for the music. Celtic rock/fusion bands are among my favorites these past few years. Peatbog Faeries and Shooglenifty are just two in Scotland I'd love to see. Otherwise, I get my fix in the States with several others.

Thank you for all your kind welcomes and encouragement. I see I not only have reading to catch up on, but reading of previous forum posts to catch up on! EC2, love your books. Leyland, my husband plays cello and guitar at a traditional music "session" at our local pub, a feast of Scots and Irish folk tunes, so I love that music, too. I hope when he does some recordings soon I can link to them from my website.

Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

Welcome, Jules!

I will always have a soft spot for things Scottish as it was in Scotland - on the Isle of Skye to be specific - that I was was struck by the writing muse.

My writing music is mainly of the fiddle and bagpipe variety - although I do like Afro Celt Sound System when writing action scenes. I like the fusion stuff (shooglenifty, afrocelt, martyn bennett) but I lean more toward the traditional when I'm trying to travel back in time.

Hi Jules and welcome. It's always nice to have another author on here. As a reader I like the different perspective you all bring. This board is exceptional and I'm sure you'll enjoy hanging around here.

Welcome to the forum. The first two books in your trilogy are among the many books sitting on my bookshelves that are patiently waiting to be read. Not a peep, just the occasional forlorn glance...
