Cool links, keep them coming. We just don't have old buildings in the states, let alone many grand churches and cathedrals. Actually, the best bet is the Hearst Castle, as William Randolf Hearst spent a lot of time in Europe buying up the best ceilings, tapestries, etc. Very cool place to visit, let alone the stories they tell from the Hollywood heyday of the big parties. Charlie Chaplin hiding in the Roman sarcophagi (SP???) in the gardens waiting to spook the ladies. Cary Grant calling the indoor pool the most romantic place on earth.....

Site looked good, unfortunatley there was no photos of my old home town! I thought St Neots would have been there as it is very picturesque! I looked at by birthtown of Bedford and there was only the river and park there! Not a very big trip down memory lane for me!!
A good book and a good coffee, what more can anyone want? xx

Thank you Libby! There was a pic of Goldings, just an old shop to some, but where my dad worked at one point in his life and the owners then came to our pub when dad became the landlord!

That's interesting Pat. I went to have another look at the pictures. You don't see many iron-mongers shops like that one now. In fact one in my home town has just announced it will be closing after 169 years in business! It's sad but people don't seem to shop there any more.
