Thanks for the link Susan. I don't know about Beatrice being like her mother, in that last photo she's the image of her father.

I was wrong. Nine year old wants nothing to do with this one. He stubbornly clings to the BBC Victoria & Albert. But I wouldn't mind seeing it. Almost laughed at a young and dashing Melbourne as a rival for Victoria's affections. Still it looks good overall.

Sarah Ferguson is one of the producers of the film, which I'm sure is the reason that her daughter is the only member of Britain's royal to appear in a non-documentary film. No speaking though, just a lady waiting.

The trailers I've seen for this film look wonderful. I hope it really captures the heart of Victoria and shows Albert as the wonderful man he was!! Hope it's not too 'glamorised' (the mention of a young Melbourne gave me pause....)

(Oooh :-( , I heard an interview with Fergie about Beatrice being in the film and I thought, "Hmm...." Say no more but really...controversial but Sarah F. milks her association with royalty for all it's worth and has most peculiar ideas about motherhood!!)

Lovehistory, your nine-year-old is right on the ball about "Victoria & Albert"! How wonderful for someone so young to appreciate such a lovely era and such fascinating people!!! :-)

I went to see it yesterday with my mum :D

Don't know much about this period, so no idea if there are any accuracy issues...but I liked it - very well done & well-acted. Emily Blunt was very convincing, and I'll watch pretty much anything with Paul Bettany in it ;)
