I'm glad you all enjoyed it.. my husband Jim and I just caught the Sharpe bug recently, being Yanks. We are working our way through the films... the one we saw last night actually was more complex than the usual.. Sharpe's Sword. Nevertheless we identified Snidely Malevolent, Col. Snooty-Newbie, and Le Bâtarde. I suppose Anna is Tragica Pudenda... Maria von Trapp seems more likely.

Someone tell me.. why are they calling Harper's wife Ramona in the films? Isn't her name Isabella? We are reading Sharpe's Devil just now and that's her name in that book.

Ash, you said you love thst blog/site.. may I hope that you meant mine???

Hi Nan- Yes, Harper's wife is called Isabella in the books, but for some unknown reason, her name is changed to Ramona for the TV movies. Maybe it sounded more obviously Spanish?

Writing parodies of Sharpe and even better of fan fiction is so fun. I did one a few months ago.
