Oh my that's quite a position to hold! His shirt is frillier than her dress as well.

First time I've seen this pair on a historical novel, they usually are in the New Adult genre.

The vest isn't exactly period attire, although I guess they managed to cover most of it up in the first one. I'm no Photoshop expert but she's practically a blank canvas wearing that, they could surely have put a half-convincing dress on her!
