:D ;) :)

I do wonder how it works with the reusable cover art. I own the Bittner book, and it's a 1987 Popular Library, not Kensington who is selling digital copies of the French book with the same artwork. The artist gets credit in the Bittner book. Is he reselling it, or are the publishers?
I did wonder that too, if the artist is getting royalties here.

So, no leashes in the original book then? ;)

Dunno, haven't read it yet. It just happened to be out on the desk after I was shuffling the now on kindle dead tree books last weekend. Then I was trolling the overdrive catalog and spotted the other. I might goggle the artist just for kicks.

I can't tell if some of those are familiar, or if it's just the poses and hairdos

Not really deja vu, but every time I see this cover as a thumbnail on my Kindle Fire, I think the lady is Anna from Downton Abbey.

I've seen the guy with that jacket a few times.

From the background on the left cover, it looks like somebody just hit the zoom button.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!
- "Into Battle"

Well she definitely is "unlaced" in the first book!

I wonder why she is unlaced in the second? Probably not mystery-solving at this moment in time.

I do own the second book on Kindle. Now to find time to read it...

With all that old book artwork floating around the internet, and now being reused, it's getting tricky finding the original titles & covers. Got lucky with someone over at Goodreads. Book #1 1992, Zebra. Book #2 republished June 2013 by eKensington, first published 1991 by Avon.
