That looks very pre-Raphaelite.

It's John W. Waterhouse. The original painting is called Boreas
Personally, I think it looks best on Twilight of Avalon.

Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

There's dozens of those! I see them all the time, some better than others, lol:

And this one isn't exactly the same but I'm pretty sure it's from the same photoshoot:

Wow and thank you. I've been keeping a dejavu shelf at GR and will have to add these to it. This is worse than the girl in the checkered red dress on all those western romances.
At home with a good book and the cat...

The Australian cover for Flame of Sevenwaters is The Soul of the Rose. And Seer of Sevenwaters is Boreas.
I'm a Waterhouse fan, but I wish it wasn't always the same handful of paintings.

This one looks like the same model:

Interesting that the last one is a double of both the dress/model and the background!

lol, I keep a wishlist of them on Amazon. I've got more but you may already have them - and they are mostly indie books, I find it more interesting when at least one of them is from a major publisher.Wow and thank you.
