Good god. I suppose you run a stall in some market place selling your vile potions to unsuspecting fools

Anyone read her books btw?
Fidelis Morgan's Countess Ashby de la Zouche mysteries are wonderful. The Countess is an elderly and decrepit aristocrat down on her luck and living in an equally decrept house in London with her prim maid, Alpiew. She knows everyone who's anyone and all their secrets, and is as sharp as a tack and cunning as a weasel. The stories are wildly funny and witty, full of murder and mayhem and a vivid picture of life in seventeenth century London- highly recommended.

I knew the first and the last. The rest were guesses and I guessed wrong each time!
